Registry Mechanic. As of right now Registry Mechanic wont open due to a "virus or bad sector of the hard drive." I was told that I had a varient of the cool web search. Spyware scanners have picked up some evidence of this but still neither of these two problems have been corrected. I thought I'd see if anyone knows something about these errors and how I might go about correcting them. My main goal is to get Registry Mechanic running and see if that corrects the Ares fault.

If the above doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall Registry Mechanic.
You might also want to run scandisk 'Thorough' on the hard drive.
