Ihave no sound i found that the componence for multimeda did not install when i reinstalled win. i tried to install them from set up but when it said insert cd rom for win98 and i selected multmeida and selecled componences all 11 it could not fine any on the cd .can i get these from the net anywere.

Mat I just started over on a pc im fixing for someone and had a little problem with the sound to. you may need to reinstall the correct drivers for the sound system it may not always be on the 98 disk it wasnt on mine there is a chip on your mother board and a number you may have to find it and look on the web for the drivers go to driverguid .com log in is "driver" password is "all" next time befor you reformat look in system divice manager and take note of your system sound and the divice drivers for video .
