Howdy folks. The ol' chococat is back. I am much better now, this board has helped me tremendously. I have a current problem tho' with "mtmtask.dl" I get errors saying mtmtask.dl may have missing components upon booting, and when doing some multitasking. I have no idea what this is. (*yes, it says .dl NOT .dll) I haven't been able to find any info on this on the net, so I am calling on hte real tech heads out there.

peace,

the chococat

NOT as understood by vbasic programers is put before the statement in a string to reverse
the meaning of such word. ex: NOT yes = no
its' mainly in boolean terms...
I'm looking for a mitsumi original CD Rom driver download for 4x or 8x in win95 format... " hope I helped ya guy "

mtmtask.dl is part of a virus known as 'subseven'. If it's missing, that's a good thing. Try looking at www.mcaffee.com for info in removing the virus.

Try to get the best update for your anti virus and dont worry, mtmtask.dl is not an explorer file. And get protection against hackers that might use that s---ty Sub 7 hacking program. For this you can go to Black Code.com

you have to open up system.ini in notepad and remove the line that has mtmtask.dl or dll in it. You can do this easily in WIn98 by opening system information, then tools then system configuration. Then it's just a matter of unchecking the mtmtask.dll section in 'boot'.
