I am also having a problem, as it seems that others are having when loading second addition 98. I would like to know where I could get this file without needing to dump my hard-drive that is full and that had no problems untill I uprgaded to second addition.
Summary: At the Win98 startup, I get a message that the mssp.vxd is missing which halts the boot. I found one fix (following) that worked for someone, but it did not work for me . . . running Win98 2nd Editio...
