When trying to use internet explorer all I get is the msn network it tells me it cannot open internet explorer and it is needed to use the internet service

yes we did a dial up but the only browser i get is the microsoft network, can not navigate from there once in awhile we can get on the internet but cannot do anything on it

Do you mean that when you open up Internet Explorer that MSN is the page displayed? That can be changed. When you type an address in the address bar and hit enter, does it take you to that page?

to change the homepage, click on tool / internet options in IE and where you see the address box, type your new homepage in there and hit apply. This web page will now be your new homepage.
