I just installed IE 5.5 on my win 98 2nd edition Pent III and want to know how to remove MSN Messenger from the taskbar as I am not interested in using MSN Messenger.

Hope you can help

Open MSN go to Options then to Preferences.
uncheck Show the program icon on the taskbar.

That's what you should do.
