Hi !! All,

As anyone else experienced or heard of this issue that I'm about to explain?

I'm no longer able to retrieve or get into my MSN Hotmail account, upon clicking on HOTMAIL account link, nothing happens. Also, all of a sudden , I cannot signin into my MSN MEssenger. It tel me to keep retrying or cancel since there was a problem
connection to server. It's my third now and still cannot connect/logon to MSN.

Does anyone know how I can get back into my hotmail account and MSN Messenger ???

It is however OK if I signon to a different PC.
I only have this problem to my home PC.

HELP PLEASE ANYONE !!!!

Having the security settings in IE set too high can cause Hotmail login problems. In IE go to ->tools -> Internet Options and then click on the 'Security' tab and then set the security setting lower. If you are using an older version of IE or Netscape can cause login failures. Try updating your browser. With MSN Messenger it it likely that a firewall was installed and that is preventing MSN Messenger from loging in.

Hello,
Problem occuring with your computer is a well known problem if you are runing Microsoft windows with Microsoft Internet Explorer.
It happen sometimes special files of your internet system are corrupted or damaged by new downloads which substitute your original configuration needed for your internet program.
There is 3 steps to do to get out of that situation:
1)Defragment your hard drive in order to have a fluent lecture of programs activated on your computer
2)Check with your anti-virus to see if you have maybe a virus active in your system
3)Repair your Internet Explorer following this procedure: Go to your control panel, open it, find icon called "add & remove programs", open it, watch the line called: "Internet Explorer and his tools " open it, 3 options avalaibles, one of them is "REPAIR", click on it, all your internet explorer is going to scan for corrupted and dammaged files and will restore original configuration, you will be asked to reboot your computer when finished. this action should resolve the problem
4) Erase your actual Microsoft Messenger program, download again the last version on www.cnet.com for exemple, reinstall it, you will be asked for your nickname and password, and it will work again, Hotmail don't need any manipulation as you find it directly on the web...
Doing all that should resolve all your connecting problem...........

I often read of problems with MSN Messenger, I still use MSN Messenger 1.0, the first version to ever come out & never have problems with it
Anyone interested can download older versions at Old Versions.com
Note: I use MSN just for chatting, if you want all the bells & whistles the older version is not for you, I like it because it's trouble free
[I use Windows 98]
