Hi,
I have a client who is using Win 98 and MSN Messenger 4.6 combined with MSN Chat.
For some un known reason, she is no longer able to log into MSN Chat, and yet MSN Messenger is functioning without a hitch.
When she tries to access MSN Chat, she is being prompted to re-download the chat software. Yet when she attempts to, she is recieving the following error message:
"There were problems downloading the MSN Chat software. Use the help window on your right to resolve the problem then click Try Again"
Consequently, she is unable to access Microsoft Chat.
I myself have checked all the security settings for cookies, Java, Active X, etc. And even reduced the security settings. But no luck.
I have downloaded the latest version of MSN Messenger from MSN's website but this has made no difference.
I am also aware of the security flaw that was discovered and have downloaded and installed the patch for that.
Still no luck.
What I am ideally looking for is someone or somewhere that has the MSN Chat installation file as an individual file that I can download or have e-mailed to me so that I can manually re-install the Chat control panel.
I've been through all of MSN's site and can't find any such file.
I've also looked on Google but with no success.
Does anyone out there have the MSN Chat Control Panel file that they could mail me ?
Thanks in advance
Simon

Just to clarify....
I've been to the MSN Chat log in page but I'm NOT able to directly download the file for installation at a later date.
My own PC appears to already have the required software installed and so it will not download it for me, yet my client's computer is un able to download it.
Cheers
Simon
