Have you tried going to tools, options and typing in www.msn.com? I'm sure you have, but I had to ask! Also, maybe the server is down! And you don't have to use MSN as your homepage. Use some nice looking homepage. If you visit some sites, they are so kind as to automatically make their site your homepage for you! Isn't that nice??
Jeff_#Good Luck!

Hi jeff:
Yea i tried everthing,I even talk to 5 msn
techs, boy they where alot of help.Not.
It is like something blocking msn from
comming in.I mean the usa version of
msn browser. Oh well .

Hey! I just got an idea! Do you have a firewall installed? I'll bet you do! Also, check under Tools options and the security tab and look under restricted sites! Click sites... Is MSN in there? If it's a restricted site, then maybe it won't come thru. And... if you have a firewall, is it a blocked or restricted site?
I really hope this is it and it solves your problem. Post back and let me know how it goes.
Jeff_#Once again Good Luck!!

Hi Jeff:
Well i went into security tabs and looked,
but no such luck. There is nothing in there.
I do have a firewall Zonealarm,but i check
it out to,no such luck. But get this i went
to start, then run this morninig, and there was this blinking in there,Msn.surveyhost.com
now what the heck is this? This might be my
problem? Any Ideas? thanks again..
Dennis.....

I click ok and it says file not found,
now there is another one says
mediaserv.247media.com/ What in the heck is going on? boy this has me stumped....

Disable your firewall temporarily. Does it load now? Go into tool internet options click the security tab, and click default level. That should restore the defaults. I tested loading msn as my homepage under defaults and it worked. Then we can see if it is a problem with browser settings or your firewall.

Hi jeff;
I think i found the problem,I deleted that
stupid browser, and canceled my msn email address.Ok then i went to set up a new email account at hotmail and went i was nearly done
i click on the butterfly homepage.and it ask me if i wanted to keep the same settings. So i
push yes, And then i got this error message
(Microsoft OLE DB Provider for OD BC drivers errors at 80004005 and then uder this one was: microsoft ODBC SQL Server driver
(Named Pipes) specified SQL ....
/en/inc/dbfunctions.inc Line 97
I think that someone or some spyware
maybe got in. I dont know.

If this is the error you are getting, then it is an MSN problem and not a you problem. Email MSN about this. If they don't know how to handle it than what can I say. Click here for information! Also try here! Give MSN these URLs as well in hopes they know how to go there an follow the directions! As a tip, when you get an error, go to Google and type it in. It'll tell you what the error means. The only thing you can really do is email MSN and hope they solve the problem. Or use another homepage!
Good Luck once more!
