I am having trouble with my computer. I cannot install any new programs no matter the format. And when I want to shut the computer down, I get the ctrl+alt+dlt box saying wait end task etc.. that Msgsrv32.exe is not responding. My antivirus says there are no viruses too. I have windows 98 SE on a a Chaintech motherboard 900mhz athlon. Thanks for your help. I tried downloading Norton utilites, and, I was able to install it under windows safe mode. But it wasnt any help.

Try this URL

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[ln];kbhowto

and type in Msgsrv32.exe that will list some possible hints to help you out. The reason that I say this is there was not a lot of information in your email that could lock down any possible solution.
