Trying to install a Mentor USB Modem (Rockwell/Conexant) the computer crashes with an error MSGSRV32 : An error has occurred in your application etc. After this I can't manually install the modem either. I have tried 2 fixes found on the internet. 1) Copy msgsrv32.exe from another computer
2) Put a shortcut to msgsrv32.exe in the Startup folder Neither has fixed the problem. Please help! Cheers.
