running windows 95 on a 486SX computer with 20 MB of RAM, a master and a slave hdd
when i try to start up ms-dos prompt from windows, there is an error message that says "This program requires more conventional memory. Unload drivers or memory-resident programs that use conventional memory, or increase the value for Minimum Conventional Memory in the program's Memory properties sheet." The problem is, i can run msconfig to change the minimum memory. Some of the components are missing. I tried formatting my master drive and reinstalling windows but i got the same effect. Any ideas?

Make a shortcut to MS-Dos on the desktop, right click and go to properties. Click the memory tab, and put everything on Auto. Keep start up programs to a minimal. Hope it works out for you.
