im trying to get a game workin under ms dos (pinball fantasies) but i cant get a driver for the ess1869 driver chipset. im using a compaq armada 1700 and i cant get the msdos drivers on hp's website eiter. i looked around and found one driver, but it doesnt work, the IRQ and DMA channel keep changin, never the same. thanks for any replies.

nvm, sorry for the post, but i kept playin with the setsound and i got it working, took a little while, but its working. thanks anyway.

do you have a compaq armada 1700? if so youd want to set it up under dos as a Sound Blaster Pro , IO:220, IRQ:5, DMA0:0, DMA1:0, MPU401:300. that might work on any other computer with this chipset, so give that a try. hope that helped
