I experience the problem using the policy editor with win95 workstations on a NT4 server, MPREXE.exe not responding. I solved it by changing the profile line in the usermanager from WinNT, I used to map U: to \\servername\usersharename$, this caused the MPREXE.exe message and it took up to 20 minutes to log in. When I removed the line and put it back to local drive the problem was gone, however windows95 no longer puts the user.dat file in the home directory and each time some logs in to another computer I have to change his settings. Also it could be caused by running the Kixtart login script. So if someone knows how to get the user.dat file into the home drive maping I think I have cracked the problem. using net use \\servername\%username%$ /home doesn't do the trick
