I have tried the PWL thing and pretty much everything else. even updated some thing that was supposed to fix it but it didnt. So, its still broken. Also, after it crashes if I have to reconnect to the internet I cant jsut log off my ISP and log back on or it crashes about 200 more times. I have to restart my entire computer.
Pentium II, 400Mhz. 96MB of RAM(was 64 once and still did it), 32MB Creative Savage 4 video card.

Dear Jordan,
I had the same problem a few months ago. This happenned while I was using internal modem. I changed the modem into external then it works well.
Borrow your friend's modem and test it with your PC. If your friend's modem work with your PC, buy a new modem.. preferable external because less in trouble.
Have a nice day.

Hermawan

what you also can try is insert the line stacks=9,256 in your congig.sys file or
copy your krnl32 file from another pc it might be corrupted. Also try to lower your boardrate the modem speed
