hey crew
problems with playing all mpeg video files in all media players - Divx, Winamp & Windows Media Player - only audio of video clip will play, actual video image won't play at all - get a frozen image of the clip - looks like the last frame of the video. Can still play .avi / Divx & .wmv files without a worry, but mpegs don't work at all. Seemed to have tried every codec under the sun, including k-lite codec pack, but no success.

Nevertheless, it very likely is a codec issue. Tried Nimo? If it's a problem with MPEGs, that's probably what you should concentrate on.
Sometimes it can be helpful to reinstall your current codecs.
Might take a look here - it's in my bookmarks, can't vouch for its current state - also this one - ad content is a little... well, dicey, but the links seem ok

Just for someone else, looking for an answer, here's something i recently ran into. On an ATI video card that has 2 monitor outs and tv out, i recently had a problem with filling the screen with image, and no movies at all would play. I noticed in display settings advanced under displays, that the tv out was checked and i'm not using it. I unchecked it, the screen went to full and i could see all my movies again.
