I have a PII 400. I install MP3 Maker. I can't transfer downloaded music(MP3) to the Maker program in order to change them to WAV files. Any suggestions?

As per our knowledge mp3 maker program is used to convert wave to mp3.

Instead you can go for zoft's mp3 utilities. This utility you can use both the ways, i e to convert mp3 and to convert wave to mp3.For more information please go through the link given below

I like CDex personally, you can get it on Cnet. No problem making WAV's. I'm not sure how you would use Winamp...

Yeah, you can use winamp to do this:
Open winamp, right click on the winamp panel and from the popup menu that appears select options, then preferences.
In the window that appears select the output branch from the tree on the left hand side of the preferences window.
You should then get a list of 'output plugins in the right hand side of the window, from this list select 'Nullsoft disk writer plugin' and click the configure button.
Select the directory where you want to output the file to, then click ok and then close the preferences window.

Now whenever you play an MP3 instead of playing any sound winamp will write a wav file into the directory that you specified earlier.

That's it. However, remember to change the output plugin back to 'Nullsoft waveout plug-in' when you have finished converting your MP3s.

Have fun burning :)
