First of all the use of ALL caps is considered shouting. Second, you have answered your own question.

Sorry, I will not shout again.Just would like to know if there is a mp3 player out there that will work with my equipment, or can I adapt my equipment to work without totally replacing.

I don't own an MP3 player so I can't really advize you about any accompanying software but Win98 works fine playing MP3 files. The issue may be with the software used to load the files onto the player. Are you able to play MP3 files on your computer? Do you have USB2?

iPods require at least Windows 2000. If upgrading your computer isn't an option, there are many mp3 players that will work with 98.

I posted in "am I missing something" about this....my Windows 98 is not locating a driver for my iPod even after numerous downloads...I'm guessing that I should try to upgrade to 2000?
