I have a mouse problem,i install the driver for my wheel mouse and it works just fine till i restart then the mouse goes crazy can't do anything , till i restart in safe mode and remove the driver then everthing is fine but the wheel mouse won't work like a wheel mouse,it works like a standard mouse, why is this , is the mouse no good ????????.

I am restoring an old creative 486 board and have win98 on it but get a message when loading up that no mouse is detected. I have the older style mouse with the large many pins plug in..and have tried 2 of them and still does not find a mouse. Any help will be greatfully accepted.
