I reformatted all three drives. After the PC has been on for about 2 hours the mouse seems to "stick" or is erratic. The reason I did this was my master boot recorded got changed and windows screwed up.

You didn't say which browser you are using, but I have had the same problem when using IE6. I no longer use it; went back to 5.5 with all the service packs, etc. I recently had to replace a motherboard because it 'forgot' that I had a mouse. I thouth the port went dead, but I tried the other port, and still nothing. The modem worked fine. But, anyway. IE sometimes does this trick. It's aggravating. You might even still have a virus lurking somewhere. I assume this was your original problem, with the master boot record zapped. Good luck!
PS
I really can't understand what Evan is getting at, above. Yes, we all give our opinions, but with the hope that it may help some other poor sap who is having a problem, and we've all had 'em.

can you tell us what mouse you are using? Is it optical or does it use a ball?
1. if it is an optical, what surface are you using it on? for example, is it on your wood grain desk, or on a mousepad. If it's on a mousepad is the mousepad a 3-d mousepad, or reflective?
2. If it is a ball type mouse, have you removed the ball, and cleaned the inside rollers? There are 3 rollers on the inside, if you see a grey line down the centre of the roller, you have built up dust that has collected on it. Take a paperclip, and gently, gently scrap the hard dust off of the rollers.
