I've recently upraded someone's PC for them, putting in a new graphics card, memory, and hard disk. The trouble is I don't know how to disable the onboard AGP. There are no settings in the bios so I assume it can be done by fiddling with some jumpers or flicking some switches on the motherboard.
This is all well and good, but I have no idea what the motherboard is so I can't get a manual for it, and don't know where to start, I don't want to risk frying it by experimenting.
All the information I can glean from it is...
It is an IBM Aptiva with an AMD K6-2 450
The onboard Graphics are SIS530 AGP with 8Mb shared RAM.(from bios)
Model number: 217026G
Serial number: ABAX8BB
Bios version: V75EN4C
Bios Date 8/24/99The IBM website is spectacularly unhelpful.
This is driving me nuts...

What L.G. suggested works but is in German which does not keep you from knowing the answer you seek but it is too bad it is not in plain old English. Thanks L.G.

According to:
http://www.pc.ibm.com/qtechinfo/BMOE-3Q8JAJ.html?lang=en_US&page=brand&brand=IBM+Aptiva%7CAptiva%7C2170%7C26G&family=IBM+Aptiva%7CAptiva&machineType=IBM+Aptiva%7CAptiva%7C2170&model=IBM+Aptiva%7CAptiva%7C2170%7C26G&doctype=Hints+and+tips&subtype=Video
there are no jumpers. The onboard video can only be disabled with an auto disabling PCI video card. Also there is a video upgrade at:

Don't ya love those IBM URLs?
