I want to disable the onboard Video and Sound on my mother board. I can get into my BIOS set-up but when I look for the Video and Audio there is nothing that actually has the words Video and Audio on it so I am not sure which to disable. There are things like: On Board FDC……Both On Board IDE…..Both not sure what they are. So what do I disable? What do you think they could be called?

To get the helper on the same page as yourself, please post the EXACT make and model of the motherboard or the computer (if brand-name pc) you want to disable the integrated Video/Audio

FDC and IDE controllers are necessary devices. Do not disable. Download and run AIDA32. It is a utility that should tell you all the info you require and more about your computer. If, after you review this info, you still don't have the info you need, download a copy of the Motherboard manual from the manufacturer. The model number will be found by AIDA32. find AIDA32 here: http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php

First have you got a hand book for the mobo as this will tell you how to disable the sound/graphics if you can't find it in the bios it might be a case of getting out the magnifying glass and looking for the jumpers to diable them.
