Only 2%-8% of my system resources is ever available at the moment. I am trying desperately to fix this, so my programs will stop crashing. Any suggestions? Any would be greatly appreciated~!

A common problem although your resources are dangerously low!! If you run ScanDisk does it say regularly that it is restarting due to writing to the disk? It suggests that you have far too many programs running in the background. First press Ctrl, Alt, Del which will bring up the Close Programs box. Click End Task on everything in the box EXCEPT Explorer and Systray and your antivirus program. This will close all other programs running in the background. You could run ScanDisk now. For extra resources press "Start", "Run" ,type "msconfig" in the "Open" box and click "OK". Click "Startup". Uncheck all boxes EXCEPT System Tray, Scan Registry, Task Monitor, Load Power Profile (both) and any antivirus programs and click "OK". Restart 'puter. Check resources when the system is running and they ought to be far more healthy.
If you find that you are unable to do without some of your start up programs then go back to "msconfig" and recheck them!

I see that you say you have only 32bit under RAM. I'm assuming you meant 32mb of RAM -- if that is the case then just buy more RAM (memory) and that will take care of your problems with resources. 32mb of RAM is the minimum memory required for Win 98, therefore, your resources are at the max capacity. A good number for memory in Win 98 is 128mb of RAM.

How often do you reboot? You should reboot every day. It's normal for System Resources to diminish over time. This is because some 'poorly written' programs neglect to release them when they quit.
