That's the little funky message I has received couple of times on shutting down my PC. The problem started after I wanted to try the new game I downloaded: Tux Racer from http://tuxracer.sourceforge.net to be specific. The game never started but managed to reset my display settings and that evening on shutting down my comp the message appeared for the first time. Today it reappeared and the fact is that I was running PC from a different copy of Windows located on another partition. Could anybody help me to resolve this little problem I'm having? Thank you very much!

All PC'S, OS's + they're versions & Monitors are the same, is that your conclusion since none of the aformentioned has been listed in your post?
Or did you omit the information because you thought this was the psychic W9x forum?

OK, fair enough, although I thought that this could be some kind of generic problem someone on this forum has already dealt with... Both OSs are the two copies of Windows98 running on different partitions, Dell PII450 with UltraScanP990 monitor and NVidia Riva TNT video card.

Hi,
Can you help me resolve this monitor messege problem? I am using Windows ME.
Screen displays:
out of range
H: 31-70 KHZ
V: 50-99Hz
PC display setting correct?
Thanks.Marino

I'm having the same "Out of Scan range" message appear on my Dell 1025TM Trinitron, and it only happened since I put that monitor on the computer. I'm using Win 98. The help section at Dell says to change the video frequency range, but I don't know what to change it from or to, or HOW to change it. Any suggestions?
