I am having problems upgrading my HSP Micromodem 56, which I was told by AOL that I needed to upgrade. But I can not find any info that will help me out. Any help would be great Thank You

Bryant,
go to the web site of the maker of your modem and download the latest drivers.
go to control panel--modems--click diagnosis tab--highlight the port your modem is on and click "more info" button- this will give u modem info. also can get driver info from driver button.
*modem should not be connected to internet when u click more info button

try looking on your computer manufacturers website for driver updates the type of modem you have is called a hsp/micromodem

I've got an HSP Micromodem56. It is the biggest pain I've ever had. I suggest you go to an online auction and buy a US Robotics. That's what I did. HSP uses software to allow the CPU to control the modem. It takes up way too many resources and is highly inefficient. I have tried all kinds of updates and initialization strings with no success. I have been to other forums where people all agreed. The modem is manufactured by Zoltrix. If you go to your website all you get is the title page that says "Under Construction." They are no help. Just get a new modem, you'll be glad you did.

I have an 56k HSP Micromodem and it hust keeps cutting its connection, however the connection icon on the screen is still present. How do I 1) solve this and 2) where can I get drivers for this modem by unknown.

Dear Sir,
I am having HSP Micromodem 56(internal modem), i am getting no carier in a post terminal window. Can I get some initializing setting to overcome from that probleem. I will be really thankful to you.
