Modem will not conect to remote site

My modem will not make a connection with a remote win2K server, yet I am able to get a connection with AOL no problems ... any ideas?

Is the server set up correctly? What errors or messages do you get? What kind of server are you running (just a terminal emulator or RAS or what?
