I Was wondering if you could hook up 2 modems to one computer so that you can connect to your ISP at faster speeds? i know that this is a dumb question but i am very curious. Currently i have a 56k modem. Please dont mock me in any way. =] thanks!

Windows 95 let me install 2 "hardware" modems. I did have irq conflicts with the mouse. Installed the modems on com 3 and com4.Then it worked ok. Not shure if you can install 2 winmodems. The L T Winmodem is easy to change to diferent "firmware" versions. Many versons to try. When comparing modem speed performance note that the path thru the phone co's system can be diferent each call. Try several calls to the ISP. A modem test page is at: http://www.808hi.com/56k/x2-thru.htm and
http://www.toast.net/~leslie/testpage/testpg15.htm

with win98 you can if you have two phone lines, and your modems are the same and your ISP supports ppp and multiline dial-up ....

GRACIAS
