i just bought a new modem i installed the modem reboot the pc, pc recognized the new hardware but the driver is corrupted i can't get on line to download a new driver any suggestion , by the way the cd the modem comes with is corrupted

Al, give the guy a break. The question is does the machine your on currently have CD-RW which you can copy the download to. Most driver files for modems, hardware are not that small.If you go to the website of the modem manufacturer you should be able to get the update there. Good luck
