with an HSP K56Flex modem, you can use an init of AT&F, or if it supports V.90, use S37=14 to enable V.90.

I also need the firmware. The modem is a ThunderLink with a PCT388P chip from PCTEL.
I just bought a emachine 400celeron it came with a pctel hsp modem 56k. I the properties say voice/tele/fax I don't know the manufacturer of the modem. Made in korea. Needdrivers for the modem. so that i can make it a voice modem. please help.

El modem HSP es un tipo de WinModem; no tiene controlador propio. Desafortunadamente, WinModems no funcionen bajo Linux. Mejor obtener un modem ISA (USRobotics o Diamond), porque estos modeles vienen con controlador. Disculpa mi feo espanol ;) --T

Help! I've lucky to be online, but at 1200 bps i'm surprised i'm online at all. I've got diamond SupraMax 56kflex.v.90 and can't find the cd anywhere..i recently did some changes and had to reinstall..but can't because i can't find the driver anywhere. Yes i've been to diamondmm seems like a million times and thats like a maze... is this a secret driver or what... diamond is suppose to be one of the best..but i can find ess better than them. Please help... i feel like i'm on crutches.. :)

I found the PC Tel HSP - PTC388 and PCT789T drivers here. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/drvmodem.html Do a search on the "Quick Search" for any others. Chances are that they are there. Enjoy ---- Mark

I have the board sis 530 and the fax-modem don't work;the o/s is win98,the jumpers are right;the port select is 4 but I can not see in the system.Is possible to do a test or any thing?

I have a PCTel 33.6 PnP modem and my ISP upgraded their systems to 56k modems. I couldn't use my diamond with their system due to incompatability problems with my modem. So I installed my PCTel 33.6 PnP modem with the PCT288I chipset on it. I have found drivers for everyone looking for one in this forum and it only took me 15 minutes. here is the website that everyone needs to goto to find their drivers for their modems. http://www.multiwave.com/support/download.htm They also have firmware updates. If you can't find the driver on that website email me and I will find one for you. Good luck on the drivers and upgrades.
