Hello! I have a ? about IRQ #12, just the mouse should be there? I dont think mine is there!! This is what I have on 12:CMD USB open host controller. On another 12 I have Via Tech 3038 PCI to USB universal host controller. On another 12 I have ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering. Could that be why my mouse is possessed in the worst way? Please help me. I dont where my mouse is. I know I have one lurking in my control panel.Any help would be appreciated. Thank-you in advance.

A little information about what kind of trouble you are having with the mouse might help. Is it a PS2, USB or Serial mouse?

Are there any conflicts in device manager? Is this mouse new or does it need to be cleaned?

there are no conflicts in device manager and none anywhere else. The mouse is a trackball, only the marble moves,and its brand new. I do clean what is cleanable atleast twice a day,so i know that is not the problem,I had another mouse that did move around and i kept that clean and also had the same problem, so i dont think its the mouse....

Safe mode must disable USB. It looks like this mouse can connect to your ps/2 port. Have you tried this yet? Make sure you power off the computer when connecting to the ps/2 port.

Ok Dave, I did that, and the pc called my mouse the "trackman 8 on the ps/2 port. Why did it do that? Mouse still did the same things as before. :-{

It shows up as microsoft mouse because safe mode loads generic drivers. I want you to try it in safe mode to determine if it fails here too. Now you are saying it only does it when you are on the internet?

I think i figured out what makes my mouse go nuts, but dont know why. It seems when im on a page and an ad banner pops up while its loading, my mouse go nuts,or in a chat room,like "paltalk" with the continuing movement of text dialogue, or sending and recieving files ,but I only have one program going on at a time.

Strange problem. What programs do you have running? Press Ctrl-Alt-Del once and this will bring up a list of running programs. Also it wouldn't hurt to run system file checker. Goto start-->run and type SFC. Have it scan for altered files and it will correct any corrupted system files if you have any.

Ok, I ran the check,and it came up with a setupx.dll corrupted file, I fixed that so all is okey-dokey there. I have these at start-up : america online powered by DSL, Fade-it, explorer,RNAPP, pnetaware,(paltalk) systray, EM-exe,(mouse) winppoverethernet, and Tidslmon.

Try to close out EM-exe and then connect to the internet and see if you still have mouse problems. Also have you tried safe mode with network support to see if the mouse fails?
