Ever since we downloaded Netscape 4.6 (on 2 computers) and Netscape Professional 4.61 (on 1 computer) we are getting GPF errors involving MMTASK.exe. 2 computers are Dell's (years apart) 1 is a new eMachine so I'm sure it isn't the hardware and I doubt it's MMTASK. Any idea how to fix the conflict.

We found a Trojan (Trojan.PSW) Virus with AVP today in MMTASK.exe.
Look at www.avp.com for a free timed demo version of their Virus Tool Box.

MMTASK.exe is not part of Windows 9X or NT.

I Deleted the file and Removed the Registry setting it had added and rebooted fine.

mmtask.exe is part of Real Network's "Real Jukebox" software. You might contact them about the error.
