Hello, I keep getting an error messane saying mmtask.exe has caused this error. I can't find this executable in my computer, nor the Win98SE disk. Any thoughts. The errot occurs on desktop after restarting or starting. Can I find it hidden in my computer somewhere? Thanks in advance.

mmtask.exe would be musicmatch's systray loader, just go start>run>msconfig put dot in selective startup, go to startup tab, and uncheck mmtask

Thanks Tazerwhip That's my problem I think. mmtask.exe is not on the start page of msconfig and I've always had the 'selective startup' checked. I start this computer with only the essentials. I don't play music on it. Thanks.

Hi ido4god, tazerwhip, hi everyone,
You should search for mmtask.exe in: - C:\Windows\System.ini - C:\Windows\Win.ini - the Registry
