missing win.com file

Hi guys My desktop running with windows 95 (version 4.00.1111)can't start up cause it can't find the file win.com. Can anyone send me (francktaps@hotmail.com) this file and explain how to install it? thanks

Do a search in this forum for "missing win.com" (without the quotes) and you'll get what you need.

I'm not sure which one 4.00.1111 is. Can you post back the date associated with command.com? Just boot to a dos prompt either with a bootdisk or using F8 and type:
dir c:\command.com
and enter and i can send you win.com.
