Yeah.
Basically the other day, I accidently knocked the power off at the wall for my PC. I restarted it, yet windows fails to load quoting a missing WIN.COM file to be the problem.

. . . Copy it to a blank floppy disk. Then boot the ailing computer with a bootdisk. At the a:\> prompt, remove the bootdisk and put the disk with win.com in. Type:
copy a:\win.com c:\windows
and enter. Answer Y if it asks about overwriting the existing file. When it's done, remove the disk, reboot and see if it starts normally.

So, out of curiousity, you were REALLY missing the file?
Ie: You just reloaded it and all is well?

Yeah... Hotmail blocked the file because it deemed it permanently unsafe...
And yeah, I am missing the file. I got my comp built for me, and the guy who did it kept the windows installation disk, and he doesnt have it anymore...
If you could zip the file and send it again, I would be most appreciative.
Thabks in advance.
