hi, when i reformatted my computer, i did not uninstall zone alarm. as a result, when i had reinstalled windows 98, i tried to install zone alarm and it says i am missing vsinit.dll or a root certificate. i've looked around for answers and it seems this is happening because i didn't uninstall zone alarm before i reformatted. now, i don't know what to do, because i've run thorough search engines and can't seem to find the answer. can someone please help me??? thanks,

after which i forgot to mention, i even went to the getverisign website for a certificate, but that didn't work as well.
then, i had read some people who said they had to reset their CMOS clock setting and they didn't get that vsinit.dll, missing root certificate message anymore.
i did reset my CMOS clock back to 2004 and the message disappeared. however, when i tried to install zone alarm (free version) again, i get this message:
'could not load the DLL library C:windows\temp vsutil.dll (WSEDbgPrint). the specified procedure could not be found"followed by:
"'could not load the DLL library C:windows\temp vsutil.dll (VS Set Protection)
the specified procedure could not be found"
can someone pls help me to get rid of these? i really need to install zone alarm and i can't even start it up now.any help is appreciated, thank you.

I don't know the answer but if you reformatted that would have cleared everything. The BIOS should be OK set at default.
All I can suggest is either another download (maybe it was corrupted) or a different firewall such as Sygate's freebie.
ZA probably have a forum.
