(it said on microsoft's webpage it can be found throught Start Find... Anyway, I can't play rainbow six anymore, I used to but it just got this issue and this "dll" just mysteriously disappeared, and there is no site where I can dl this dll (i've tried google, aol, and altavista!!!) I even tried my microsoft second edition update cd and did a search on the d: drive??!! Thanks in advance!

Try going to Start > Run. then in Run dialogue box, type sfc. Put Win CD in the CD drive and hit enter.Click next on the scan file wizrad.

That dll isnt a windows system file. It seems to be a dll used by a few games. you can find it on: http://scfreak045.netfirms.com/articles/article2.html

First off I scanned 2 cd's the original win98 cd and the second edition... None of them discovered the .dll Secondly the dll is a win system file.. "http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=305663" otherwise microsoft probably wouldn't have addressed it =] ... I know that link would work except the person that made it, put up a dead download link!!!:( me thinks I just can't play the game, nobody seems to have it.. thanx for your time though!

How about reinstalling the game? Or, maybe, downloading a demo of rainbow six. Check this link, http://www.actiontrip.com/files/demos/rainbowsix.phtml. Don't forget to check the patches mentioned there. It might help you. I'm downloading a copy for myself. The premise of the game is very intriguing.
