Are you saying that if you go View>Toolbars there are none there or none can be selected?

There is no 'view'..nothing to click on at all. No toolbar.

Do you have a file menu at all? Like File, Edit, View, Insert etc? If not try hitting the F-11 key. It sounds like you might just be in full screen mode.

Have none of these, these are on the toolbar, and that is missing. Have tried F11, and makes no difference.

Try Esc and if that doesn’t work try all of the F keys. I have Word97 and it might be different. I have no idea how to get out of full screen in your version but there is no other explanation I can think of for having your indications.

Try hitting the Alt key, then hit the letter V and then the letter T, from there select Standard and Formatting toolbars.

What do you see, just the document?

Yes, just the blue bar at the top, with Document1 on it..no toolbar underneath.

I am running out of ideas. I have seen a similar situation in Excel.

What happens when you hit the minimize or restore buttons?

Does the title bar just have the Word logo and Document 1 or does it have the logo and then say Microsoft Word - Document 1?

Try clicking and dragging on the title bar to see if it is covering Word itself.

It has the logo, then Document 1 -Microsoft Word. Tried all your suggestions, but still nothing. Could it be something in windows system do you think?

I regret to say that it has been 3 days including 2 business days since I sent the email to may be an expert with MSWord but I have not received any reply. :(

In the event that I do get a reply I will be sure to post back.

I had seen this same thing in Excel on a co-workers PC and it was a simple fix and to the life of me I can not remember how I did it.

Sorry that I was not able to help.
Try reposting maybe someone new will see your message.
