What?! Why?

If you can start in DOS mode, you can use the copy command. If they're all in one folder, try:

copy c:\folder\*.* c:\windows

(of course, you need the actual folder name instead of 'folder')

Put in your boot disk and at the A:>\ prompt type in sys c: then reboot. Dont move your system files. Windows needs them to run. If that starts up your pc put the files you moved back to the windows\system folder.

Correction - same idea, but if the files were from the system folder then

copy c:\folder\*.* c:\windows\system

I formatted my HD. I did not remember before that my Word 2000 CD was lost. I tried to install office 97 to have access to my attached files.
The installation succeeded. Tough I can not run any office product. I always get this message : A file.dll required. MS097.DLL not found.

What can I do in suc circomstance ?

yes, u can eliminate the warning message.
u get it cuz there are references to that file in the registry or win.in files.

remove them as follows:

1. start---->run
type regedit.
make a backup of the registry by registry--->export....---> give a file name
then press F3. the find box is open
type the name of the file in question.
then press enter. when a key is found delete it
do that again till all entries pointing to that file are deleted.

2.
start--->run....type msconfig
go to win.ini radio button.
remove all lines pointing to that file.
better backup ur win.ini file also (its in windows directry)

keep a startup disk with u , just in case.

ALL SAID AND DONE....IF UR NOT FAMILIER WITH WINDOWS AND DOS, DONT TRY IT !!!!!

GOOD LUCK
