I installed a new program, OmniPage Pro, and the install went fine. I rebooted as directed, and windows is unable to fully boot. Windows reports the files are missing or corrupt!!
HIMEM.SYS, DBLBUFF.SYS, AND IFSHLP.SYS
I have access to another pc, so I searched the win 98 cd and extracted the files to a floppy. I am able to boot to a C: prompt, where I copied the files to C:windows directory. I had the files overwrite the existing files and rebooted. The windows flash screen is visible for a second and the system fails to load fully.
Does anyone have any suggestions on the cause and possible cures for my problem??
Thanks in advance!!
Hung up and not going and where

Start the computer and tap the F8 key until you see the boot menu.

Select Step-By-Step Confirmation.

Select Yes to everything except config.sys and autoexec.bat.

Post back with the results.
