Comment:

when I turn on my computer, it starts to boot and says starting windows 98, but never does. Instead, it reads: missing or corrupt file, type command e.g. C:\Windows Command.Com)

Please help me!

You need to copy command.com from a boot disk to the root on your C drive.

Boot up using the boot disk and when it gets to the command prompt type

copy a:\command.com c:\

L8r

About 15 of my company's computer were experiencing the same problem. Startup using your bootable disk and re-install windows. However, your data will be lost!
