Hi: Was wondering if anyone could answer a question for me. Norton is coming up with a "Missing file mso9.dll c:\ program files\microsoft office\office\findfast.exe" I have a Fujitsu laptop, should I just re install win98 on top to replace the file? I've tried to find the missing file in cabs with find files and folders but haven't found it. I also am having problems downloading updates from microsoft, gets to 64k and just stops. Would this have anything to do with the missing file? Thanks in advance for any help. Kevin

The MSo9.dll file you mention is not listed as a file on the Office 97 list, But MSO97.dll is and is part of the Office software. If the error message keeps popping up you may be forced to uninstall office and do a clean install to solve the problem. Maybe someone else will have a few ideas.

The Office re-install is obviously a sensible way forward but I suppose you could see if you can find the file on your Office CD. It's a biggy, about 5 meg.
Mine is in c:\program files\microsoft office\office

The mso9.dll file is part of the Office 9 Tools and does get copied to your machine with a Visio or MS Project install but not in an Office 97 install. I'm not sure if it would be on a regular MS Office CD but if you can locate the file on another machine just copy it to your Office directory and you'll be working fine.
