Missing Gameport,
Win95, ESSOLO1 Soundcard.

Having trawled the web I have found countless pleas for help regarding this subject, most replies I've seen suggest re-installing the Soundcard Drivers. I've tried this several times to no avail, although my sound still works normally. I've downloaded the latest ESS Soundcard Drivers so it's not because anything's out of date.

I still get the little yellow explanation mark in Device Manager, and trying to update the driver to the Microsoft 'Gameport Joystick' gets me nowhere. Whenever I go to add a new joystick I get the usual message 'Your Gameport or Gameport Drivers are not properly configured, please consult the Device Manager'. On checking the Joystick in 'Multimedia' I get a message saying 'There are no devices of this class installed on your system'. In short, the Soundcard appears to be working normally apart from the Joystick. Could it be anything to do with DirectX or a problem within Windows somewhere? Anyone got any ideas? I'm pulling my hair out over this and would be grateful for any help.

Thanks
