Missing file msnp32.dll for W98

You can download that file from the site below. Just click DLL at the top center of the page and click the Windows 98 folder to get to the download page. msnp32.dll belongs in your WINDOWS/STSTEM folder. Here's the download site. http://www.drd.dyndns.org/index2.html

msnp32.dll went missing from my W98SE system too. I took the advice offered here; downloading it from http://www.drd.dyndns.org/index2.html into my Windows\System folder. At start-up, I still get the Windows Networking dialogue complaining that the system cannot find the file, etc. I get the same result after extracting it from the CAB file on my own W98SE CD. I'd appreciate any ideas on what to try next. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Tufenuf, for the prompt reply. I suppose that I should have mentioned having tried the Q166832 resolution. Out of 3 missing .vxd files and the msnp32.dll, that resolution bought me back only the 1st of the 3 .vxd's; even though I repeated it several times. Downloading resolved the other 2 missing .vxd's, but msnp32.dll is still reported missing even though it's there in Windows/System as well as Windows/System32 ( I copied it there "just in case"). Any further tips are gratefully welcome.

Try to copy it to the folder of the program that uses the dll-files.
