I am having trouble running programs, they are looking for mmc.exe file. I cannot find it in my system using Find (file/folder)
Otherwise, running SFC should allow you to restore the file.

Hi Charles, Derek, DAVEINCAPS, hello everyone,
MMC.exe was shipped with WinNT, Win2000, WinXP and Win2003. It is a legitamate file for those operating systems but not for Win98.
There was a redistributable version of Microsoft Management Console, MMC, for Win95, Win98 and WinME that can be downloaded from Microsoft. The file is however is immc.exe and not mmc.exe.
It does sound like your computer is infected with the Nimda.A virus.
I suggest as the others to run the virus scans in the links they provided. Here is a link which contains the removal tool
for the virus also.
Best Regards, Mesich
