Melodie You stated that your 98reinstall stopped or aborted correct? insert the uprade cdrom into drive and do it manually go through win explore and look for file types like setup.exe or .bat types I do not have upgrade cdrom or I could be more helpful as to which. This might be all it needs!

It is setup.exe and is the same for the full version of any Win9x or upgrade.
