If you use microsoft word and you clik on cancel and close the programme by mistake can you retrive it in any way?

Depends on where you have the save point set. I think it defaults to 10 minutes, so you'd probably only loose the last 10 minutes or so since you saved it.

.....if the save is on what does it save as and where....if it is not on have I l;ost it for ever?

Look in -


Windows

Application Data

Microsoft

Office

Recent


In Word you will find if you have auto recover save turned on by looking under -

Tools

Options

Save

If these are checkmarked -


Allow background saves

Save Auto Recover info every


Then look under menu - File Locations

Auto Recover Files - The folder where they are located.
