I have windows 98 and Pentium 166. I select micrphone from Volume Control--Recording. My mouse pointer does not move the mic. volume control. I cannot adjust the mic. volume. Any help is appreciated. -SR
Sometimes, dependind on the sound card and its drivers and software, the mic volume can not be adjusted and is therefore grayed out. Is this the case with you? Is the volume control for the mic grayed out?

Exactly! I select "recording" from the volume control choices and I see that "recording" control is greyed out! If anyone knows how to get me out of this jam, I'd be more grateful than that poor guy in prison who the attorney (played Robert Duvall) slipped a razor blade to in the Godfather II or III, if there had only been a way out for him! -SR
