I don't have the disk for this so must have downloaded it. Anyhow, I discovered recently that Photo Suite is capturing images from the internet pages I visit and putting them in my cache. You can imagine how large the cache gets in just one day of surfing. I've checked out the Photo Suite Help and it does not refer to this at all. My question: Can I stop Photo Suite from capturing and caching these images and, if so, how?

Not sure how to block it, but reading the specs it says it requires AT LEAST 500MB of free disk space on your hard drive (I think it even actually specifies C:!) at ALL TIMES.
If you can't disable the autosaving "feature" in the program's options then you'll probably arse it up if you somehow block it from temporarily munching your hard drive.

This is a fluky program with more bugs than a rain forest. I advise you uninstall and get a real photo editing program.

I also use Photo Suite and do not have this problem as explained.
Where are the copies being cached to? Is is in C:\Windows\Temporay Internet Files folder?
If so then go to IE Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, scroll down under the security section and place a check next to the box that says Empty temporary internet files when browser is closed. Click Apply and OK.If the above is correct then the items in the TIF folder are just showing the Photo Shop icon because that file type is associated with Photo Shop and it is not actually Photo Shop doing the caching.

I have to agree with Bryco. I have tons of photo programs and MGI is one I use more often than others. I never have this problem. I tend to think that your images are only associated to the MGI program and not MGI actually caching them. I use the Infranview program for quick viewing pictures and this is what I have all my images associated with in the Windows Explorer\view\folder options\file types\applications section of my computer. Then when I use a photo program it just opens what I want and does not take control of my images. So just re-associate your images to another program is all.
