Comment:

I am trying to run a program that relies on the cd-rom being inserted to run. The actual disk only requires win 95 or higher and 16 mb RAM however whenever I try to run the program I get an error msg saying can't run out of memory. I have FreeMem installed and this shows that all 256 is being used and it's asking for more. The program runs fine on similar machines.

oops wrong forum

Could anybody please help as to what is eating up all my memory as all the other disks in the set work fine, they all work the same just with different subject matter.

Thanking you

PAT

You're answer is right there: Windows XP. By default, Windows XP has a bunch of services turned on. Go to Start | Run | type in "msinfo32" (without quotes)

From there you should be able to see and decide what services you need and don't need.
