I open the case of the cpu to remove dust but when i repositioned the cover and turned it on when it was loading suddenly a msg appears:
System error
Memory parity error
system stopedThen i switch it off and on and the msg still is there so I can do nothing . I do not move anything inside initially but when the msg appeared for first time I cleaned the contacts of the memory cards but the problem is there. What other thing could I do?

did you put the memory in the same way? i wonder if the chips are the same?
like 128 plus 128
or is it 128
+64
+64dont touch them unless you get rid of static in body so touch the screw on back of case first on fan

The memory is 64 an 64 i did not touch them without first touching the case. Really all what i did was to remove debris from inside of the case, that is all. Well, I will check in the setup what I can do, anyway thanks for your reply and I will let you know results or I will do any other question

Take a look at http://www.pcguide.com/ts/x/comp/ram/parity_Boot.htm Nice discussion of what Parity Check is and how to trouble shoot it. good luck

I hope you didn't use a vacuum cleaner to clean out the dust in the box. They have been known to ZAP components.
Sorry, I do not check for private messages

Happily i found the problem after follow all your indications, it happened that the processor was loose, repositioned and the pc worked fine. Any way i learnt something more thanks fyr help

It's not that rare.
Connections inside a computer can be poor but manage to keep going just fine, as if they are waiting for the slightest disturbance.
Often something just shifts a very small amount to an adjacent tarnished area and then is unable to make proper contact.
I've had this on signal connections and on edge connectors (RAM & Cards). It is less usual on power connectors because higher voltages and currents break through the tarnish and force a connection.
